A Woman’s Power

Through all the great lives and careers of the women showcased in this series, we learned that gender does not define what you can do, only you have the power to do that. The achievements and accomplishments of these women serve as an inspiration to many women around the world, eager to start their own journeys and careers. Below, IBSS has curated a list of resources future women in STEM can use to get things started, with a special focus on meteorology, oceanography and computer science.

With over 1000 members in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, Women in Techonology (WIT) aims to advance women in tech through leadership development, technology education, networking and mentoring for women in different parts of their careers. Black Girls Code

Black Girls Code is a program encouraging more African American women to pursue careers in STEM, encouraging them to see their true potential.
