Silver Spring, MD, July 2020:

Team IBSS was awarded a Task Order with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) to provide a variety of support services to the Population and Ecosystems Monitoring and Analysis Division (PEMAD).

PEMAD collects data and samples from the environment and fishery resources. The aggregated data is used to examine the status and trends of fishery resources and controls of resource productivity.

Team IBSS will support PEMAD’s Ecosystems Survey Branch and Population Biology Branch, providing support for fishery independent research surveys, engineering and development of electronic fisheries sampling devices, acoustic data analysis, and analysis of the biology and ecology of fishes. In addition, Team IBSS will deliver program support and wind energy consultation.

As a trusted NOAA partner for more than 20 years, IBSS looks forward to continuing our ongoing service to NOAA Fisheries while supporting IBSS’s goal of providing “tech for science”.
