IBSS HERO Program provides potentially
life-changing
opportunities for unemployed, underemployed,
career changers, and transitioning veterans
Our Maryland registered Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program provides a content-based and hands-on learning experience for aspiring cybersecurity professionals to acquire cybersecurity knowledge and gain experience in cybersecurity disciplines such as engineering; governance, risk management and compliance, and security operations. Cybersecurity topics include: email security, cloud security, computer defense, data loss prevention, endpoint detection and response, firewalls and edge protection, identity and access management, managed detection and response, risk assessment, vulnerability management, and zero trust. IBSS’ Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program, known as “HERO” for “helping educate to realize opportunities,” is a unique component of our workforce development because it provides a rigorous program for aspiring cybersecurity professionals irrespective of their background. Upon completion of our Program, apprentices will be able to complete entry-level assessor, information system security officer, security engineering, and security operations center analyst tasks.
Cybersecurity apprentices take part in technical hands-on training using advanced enterprise cybersecurity tools and technologies that our customers use. In addition, the Program offers a strong foundation across the breadth of different cybersecurity roles:
- Industry recognized certifications
- Toastmaster public speaking training
- Soft skills training
- Resume assistance
- Professional and technical writing skills
